I met Ronda Harris two jobs ago. She was wrapping up a contract for our employer and I was interviewing for a combo Instructional Design and Curriculum Manager. Ronda was fantastic and though she didn't get the gig, we stayed connected since then.
Two layoffs later, Ronda has a podcast series called The Pivoting Wolf that focuses on people going through professional and personal pivots. As this 1 hour and 20 minute interview gets into, there is a lot of experimentation and processing that goes into figuring out your next thing.
I hope this helps someone who needs to hear that a) getting laid off is not your fault; b) we're in unprecedented times; c) you're not alone in having to re-figure everything out.
