Forward!

The most expensive "free concert" ever was a great night out.

I feel so good, y'all. I'm so glad you're here.

In the last week a flurry of loooooonnnng-looming threads finally resolved in concert with each other. It was a bit of an adventure chasing down a UPS package sent to my old apartment, but my divorce is all finalized and financially settled as of this last week. All that is now behind me, and I feel like so much weight has been lifted off my shoulders and back. Time and opportunity are allowing to heal some of the friendships I feared lost along the way. Having any kind of nest-egg in my command provides me with some peace again.

I also finally had my first session with the American Jobs Center, and thankfully having done a lot of due diligence months ago, I don't have to spend time now figuring out what should be my next move. I get to fill out the forms, check off the boxes and, looking like by September, start barber college. Having solid and discernible next steps and a timetable towards a "next" set of things to be doing... that change feels amazing.

DOGE'd, A Love Story: Volume 2

A few weeks ago I released Volume 2 of my DOGE'd sets. I was due to put Volume 3 out last week but Monday - Wednesday last week, especially, was a flurry of me driving around and meeting with people and accomplishing paperwork tasks to a degree I hadn't had to do in considerable time. Not to mention all the things that have happened in the world that add color/consideration into a setlist. Losing Ozzy is a big deal; gotta touch on that. But Volume 3 is where the story starts revealing itself; and especially now that I'm free as in speech and beer, I intend to entertain, surprise and delight. Look for that mix to drop Wednesday or Thursday this week.

More fun to come. I just wanted to catch-up on the big news so that I can on track with more targeted writing. I've internet-researched a honeypot scam I stumbled into last week involving paid/metered parking on the street around Millennium Park. The pettiness of the grift is what makes me wanna write about it because it's just so annoying and insulting.

In a way, it's kinda nice to get angry about small things again because gee-howdy the national news is pure rage-bait.

Until next time, if you haven't listened, check out Volume 2 of DOGE'd!
